In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party and other events that led to the start of the American Revolution, Oatlands presents its own tea party on Sunday, July 7th. Join local public historians Rich and Tracy Gillespie as they explore what led to the December 1774 incident at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston and tea-based uprisings in other American colonies. Enjoy an afternoon tea menu while sampling modern renditions of the five teas thrown overboard in Boston, with commentary on each tea.
