Virginia leads the nation in the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. The Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250) was established by the General Assembly to plan a robust statewide program that is multi-faceted and spans a number of years, highlighting Virginia’s key role 250 years ago. The VA250 brand, visuals, and messaging reflect the tagline — Virginia’s history is America’s story.
Brand Guidelines
The logo and tagline were designed to incorporate a visual play on words, and provide a simply yet flexible design language, emphasizing that Virginia boasts many voices, experiences, and contributions to America. These designs would include an easily identifiable typeface and color combination while keeping Virginia front and center. The VA250 Brand Guidelines map out the proper usage of these brand elements for VA250.

Customized Logos
For local committees and organizational partners, customized versions of the VA250 logo are available. These logos feature the VA250 logo along with the city, county, or organization name.

Adding Events and Places to Visit
The VA250 Calendar of Events, Places to Visit listings, and the accompanying Interactive Map are robust and encompass the state-wide approach of the VA250 commemoration. The VA250 Commission is unable to amplify these museums, exhibits, and events if they are not on these listings.
