Join the French & Indian War Foundation at the Loudoun Street Mall to celebrate the election of George Washington to the House of Burgesses. The 26-year-old Colonel of the Virginia Regiment was elected in Winchester, VA on July 24, 1758. The original site of the election is where the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum stands today.
