Harriet Tubman & Frederick Douglas
About
Historical interpreters, Nathan M. Richardson and Charmine Crowell-White, will be engaged in a joint discussion of the life story of Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. These presentations will provide a learning experience of literature concerned with human culture, history, and philosophy. This project is a new initiative, yet will be a building block on the understanding and highlighting of the accomplishments of African Americans of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. All presentations are free to the public. The series of presentations are being provided by the Center for Community & Family Development and is funded in part by a grant from the Virginia Humanities George A. and Frances Bibbins Latimer Fund and other community partners.
