Exmore Historic District

About

Exmore is a quiet rural town of just under 1,500 residents nestled in the heart of Virginia's Eastern Shore peninsula. Its advantageous location, midway between the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and the Virginia-Maryland line, has made Exmore an important transportation and commercial hub since its founding. During the railroad days, Exmore became an important distribution and transportation hub due to its central location and proximity to produce and seafood producers. Several antique shops, eateries, and boutiques line the historic Main Street. A town park is available for picnics. A history walking tour is available.
