This Mosaics Workshop for Kids at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown invites inspiring young artists to design their own miniature mosaic masterpiece. They'll also be influenced by two mosaics on display in the "Patrons & Patriots: The Legacy of Nick and Mary Mathews" special exhibition that once decorated the walls of the infamous Nick's Seafood Pavilion. Register now to explore stories mosaics have been used to tell, understand the basics of how mosaic art is produced and create a mosaic to take home.

About Workshops for Kids

Designed for rising 3rd-6th graders, summer artmaking workshops at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown offer learning new artistic techniques in a fun, casual environment with a teaching artist.

Workshops, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., cost $12 per person with advance registration.
