Join Monticello's garden and plant experts on April 25 or April 26 for a hike exploring spring botanical treasures and diverse plant communities. Venture into Monticello’s woodlands on this 3-hour hike from the historic mountaintop to the banks of the Rivanna River and back. Participants will walk through stands of Virginia bluebells, spring beauties, mayapples, and more along Jefferson’s roundabout roads and narrow trails.

Note: Parts of this hike are fairly strenuous. Participants should be ready to walk the entire trek, and wear sturdy, waterproof shoes for muddy, steep, uphill slopes.
