Centennial Celebration of the Town of Appomattox

Centennial Celebration of the Town of Appomattox

About

The Town of Appomattox was established on June 2, 1925.
In Observance of the 100 Anniversary of the Town of Appomattox, there will be two celebratory events:
On June 7, 2025, from 5pm to 8 pm, the Town of Appomattox will host a Centennial celebration event at Courtland Festival Park, located at 217 Atwood Street. Everyone is invited to enjoy this free event, which includes music by Farm Use String Band, food and fun activities for kids.
In October 2025, during the Railroad Festival, The Town of Appomattox will set up a historical display in the Train Depot on Main Street. Town Councilman, Nathan Simpson has been working diligently to gather historical information and photos from our Town files for this display. He is also documenting verbal accounts of local history by some of our awesome citizens. We look forward to presenting this display to the community as part of the Centennial Celebration in October.
We hope everyone will enjoy all of our wonderful festivities during both of these dates!
