Starting in 2023, the VA250 Commission invited semiquincentennial planners from across the nation and within Virginia cities and counties, to convene in Colonial Williamsburg in a spirit of collaboration, unity and looking to the 250th together. Inspired by the Committees of Correspondence, one of the earliest convenings of the original colonies, A Common Cause To All has put Virginia into national leadership for the nation’s 250th anniversary and its inaugural success has led it to be an annual event from 2023 through 2025, culminating alongside the 250th anniversary of Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech.
