The oldest operating Cidery in Virginia, Albemarle Ciderworks crafts Cider reminiscent to what would have been enjoyed by colonists in Virginia at the time of the Revolutionary War. Vintage varieties of apple trees surround the CiderWorks, including Jefferson's favorite variety: Esopus Spitzenburg. Ciders like Jupiter's Legacy (named after Jupiter Evans) and 1817 tell stories of individuals from the era, and are modeled after [cyders] from the time.
