Mayhurst is a magnificent 9200 Sq Ft Italianate Victorian gem; remarkable for its architecture and oval-spiral staircase ascending four floors. The luxurious, historic and romantic Plantation Manor House is renowned for its beauty and its historical significance. Mayhurst is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is a listed property on the "Journey Through Hallowed Ground." The Manor House is situated on 37 acres of lawn, gardens, fields and old growth forest. Thousands of Confederate troops camped here during the winter of 1863-64 while the mansion served as General A.P. Hill's headquarters. General Robert E. Lee and "Stonewall" Jackson were also guests.

Outstandingly restored with 21st century comforts including: 8 stately guest rooms, private baths, double whirlpool tubs, Italian marble fireplaces, luxury linens, exceptional amenities, antiques and period decors. Snacks, soft drinks, fine Virginia wines and cheese served daily from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Full three course full plantation breakfasts are included.
