The Spotsylvania Museum sits on eight acres adjacent to the First Day of Chancellorsville battlefield. The battlefield features wayside exhibits and a recreational hiking trail network. The museum encompasses more than 300 years of history, spanning from Lt. Gov. Alexander Spotswood's influence on tobacco and ironworks in colonial times to the emergence of the cellophane industry and its impacts in the 1900s.
