We are challenging Goochland County Citizens to identify "Witness Trees" throughout the County.

They are to submit entries by March 1st. A committee will evaluate all entries and a Forester, with the help of students will identify those trees that meet the requirements. The event will culminate with the announcement of the winners on Arbor Day, April 24th of 2026, along with the planting of a tree to be celebrated 250 years from now. Those submitting winning entries will be recognized by the Board of Supervisors at a future board meeting.
