Bells Across America is an annual event commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution. On September 17 at exactly 4 PM-the moment the Constitution was signed in 1787-bells will ring out across the nation, echoing the joyful peals that once filled the air in Philadelphia on that historic day.

The Williamsburg Chapter, NSDAR, invites you to take part in this patriotic tradition by ringing the bell at The Historic First Baptist Church or at the Wren Building on the William & Mary campus. At Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, the bell will toll 13 times in honor of the original 13 colonies that united to form our nation.
