In January, 1781, General Benedict Arnold led British troops in capturing the new capital of Virginia. This annual event returns, focused on the Revolution in Richmond and the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Four days of activities will take place at four different locations.

-Thursday, January 2, 7 pm: "Virginia Women in the Revolution" presentation by historian Kate Gruber. Libbie Mill Library, 2100 Libbie Lake East St, Henrico, VA 23230

-Friday, January 3, Noon-5 pm: Revolutionary War encampment at Clarke-Palmour House, 904 McCoul St, Henrico, VA 23231. Meet Virginia militia soldiers and learn about their equipment and the life of a soldier.

-Saturday, January 4: 10 am- 4 pm: Revolutionary War encampment at Chimborazo, 3215 East Broad Street. Event will features kids activities, musket demonstrations, historic cooking, music, exhibits from area museums, historic characters, and more.

-Sunday, January 5: 11 am: "Church Hill History" walking tour, departs from Chimborazo.
1:30- 4 pm: Presentations at Historic St. John's Church, 2401 E Broad St, Richmond, VA 23223:
1:30- 2 pm: Musical performance: fife and fiddle
2 pm: Virginia Indians in the Revolution, by historian Ashley Spivey
3 pm: General Benedict Arnold and Governor Thomas Jefferson performance
