Join us for an evening of nostalgia and celebration honoring the enduring legacy of Nick and Mary Mathews and their iconic Yorktown restaurant, Nick's Seafood Pavilion. The History Makers Dinner fundraising event, complete with inspiration from the original restaurant menus and décor along Water Street, will feature a cocktail hour, a three-course seafood dinner based on Nick’s original menus, paddle raise and a preview of the March 2025 exhibition, “Patrons & Patriots: The Legacy of Nick and Mary Mathews.”The event will celebrate the lives and philanthropy of the late Nick and Mary Mathews, beloved Yorktown restauranteurs and donors of the land where the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown now stands. Opening in 1944, Nick’s Seafood Pavilion quickly grew into a household name all over Virginia not only for its fine seafood and elaborate interior but for the owners, Nick and Mary Mathews, grand hospitality and pride in the Yorktown community.
Tickets are $200 per person. Proceeds support the upcoming “Patrons & Patriots: The Legacy of Nick and Mary Mathews” exhibition and future exhibitions at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. The last day to purchase tickets is September 2.
