The 250th anniversary of American independence provides an opportunity to educate, engage, and inspire Virginia students about American history, values, and beliefs. The VA250 Commission is working with the Virginia Department of Education to accomplish these goals:
Comprised of representatives from Virginia educational institutions, museums, tribal nations, nonprofits and more; and chaired by the Virginia Secretary of Education, Aimee Guidera, the Education Steering Committee is working with the VA250 Commission to provide programs and resources for educators.
Partners of the VA250 Commission provide a wealth of academical resources for teachers and students alike.

A hands-on, interactive, and immersive “museum on wheels,” the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience titled “Out of Many One” will be traveling throughout the state, prioritizing Virginia schools and educational institutions, bringing key stories of Virginia’s rich history to students.
Educational partners are advised and encouraged to include the VA250 logo on the programs and events that occur during the commemoration. Click here for the VA250 communication toolkit which includes the brand guidelines, logos, best practices for media relations, and more.
