We are pleased to announce the installation of a new Lafayette Trail sign commemorating Revolutionary War hero General Lafayette’s visit to Jamestown, VA, during his Farewell Tour of the United States on October 22, 1824. This sign unveiling ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 10 at 2 p.m.at the Jamestown Beach Event Park. Visitors are encouraged to park near the park entrance, as members of The Lafayette Trail and our friends from Jamestown Settlement will be onsite with reenactors, an artillery piece and a special salute to General Lafayette.
