Sail250® Virginia

More than 60 ships from 20 countries and 7,000+ international sailors will participate in the June 2026 Sail250® Virginia events. This offers incredible opportunities for students of all ages across the Commonwealth of Virginia to get involved and incorporate maritime themes into their educational curriculum in school or at home!

VA250 Mobile Museum Experience

A hands-on, interactive, and immersive “museum on wheels,” the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience titled “Out of Many, One” will be housed in a quad-expandable tractor trailer that will travel throughout Virginia and beyond. The mobile museum will bring key stories of Virginia’s rich history to schools, museums, local events, fairs, and more, highlighting every region of the state.

Frontier Culture Museum

Explore the role of Virginia’s Frontier and its people during the American Revolution at the Frontier Culture Museum. As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of independence from Great Britain we are considering the unique contributions of the people of Virginia’s Frontier to American independence.
