The Fauquier Historical Society will host staff working on the restoration of Menokin to learn about the most engaging preservation project in America. Menokin was the 1769 home of Frances Lightfoot Lee, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The home was neglected and fell into ruin but is being saved through great effort by the Menokin Foundation. The missing portions of the original house are being replaced with architectural glass. Join us at the Annual Membership meeting of the Fauquier Historical Society to find out more about this remarkable preservation project. The event is FREE and open to the public.
