Gunston Hall is the historic home of the writer of the Virginian Declaration of Rights, George Mason. The house has been open to the public with furniture, decorative arts, books, and other interpretive items since April 25, 1952. It has since grown into a museum dedicated to researching and teaching others about Mason and his world.
