Dr. Emily Southgate, who holds a Ph.D. in Botany from Rutgers University, will present a view of eastern and western Loudoun County through the lens of land surveyors, farmers, mill owners and others, based on her knowledge of the ecology of the region and documents dating from the 18th century.
