Loudoun Female Patriots of the American Revolution

Loudoun Female Patriots of the American Revolution

About

Do you have ancestors who lived in Loudoun County during the American Revolution? Have you wondered if they were involved in supporting "the cause"? In this presentation, Sherryl will provide an overview of resources and tools you can use to find those Revolutionary War Patriots - especially hard-to-find female patriots - in Loudoun County. There will be live demonstrations of online resources which may be able to help with documenting patriotic service.

Sherryl Belinsky is a descendant of 9 (and counting!) Revolutionary War Patriots and has been a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for almost 20 years. In addition to her love of the three pillars of the DAR - patriotism, historic preservation, and education - she is fascinated with genealogical research, honing her skills as she has researched more than 12 family lines online and in person at historic repositories, such as the Thomas Balch Library.
