Cape Henry Memorial
About
At Cape Henry, you'll find the Cape Henry Memorial Cross, commemorating the site where a wooden cross was erected by the early English settlers upon their safe arrival to Virginia in April of 1607, as well as the statue of Admiral Comte deGrasse. deGrasse, commander of the French fleet sent to support General George Washington, was a key partner in securing America's independence. Although not a part of the National Park system, the two lighthouses at Cape Henry have seen much history, and you will no doubt enjoy seeing them.Details
