As part of the Virginia Spirits Trail, Corks & Caps Trail, Route 231 Trail, and a proud supporter of Visit Orange and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Foothills Distillery is one of Virginia's newest distilleries and the only one in Orange County - birthplace of the "Father of Bourbon", Elijah Craig. Our flagship product is "Blind Preacher Bourbon". The Blind Preacher, James Waddel, was a founding trustee of Liberty Hall (now known as Washington & Lee College), and taught numerous influential Founding Fathers to include: President James Madison (Father of the US Constitution), Virginia Governor and US Senator James Barbour, Meriwether Lewis (American explorer, Soldier, and Statesman), and many more who would contribute significantly to the founding of the United States.
