250th Anniversary of the Loudoun Resolves

Join a two-day commemoration of the Loudoun Resolves, which protested against British oppression of the Colonies. June 15th activities include a presentation of what led to the Resolves, their impact and the eventual outcome. Learn of the Loudoun gentlemen who had key roles, and participate in a reenactment of the signing of the Resolves. June 16th activities at Springwood Cemetery north of Leesburg (Victory Lane) includes a grave marking for the chairman of the committee that drafted the Loudoun Resolves, Francis Peyton. The Sgt. Major John Champe Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, and the Loudoun VA250 Committee are co-sponsoring these two commemorative events, which are free and open to the public.
