160th Anniversary of the Battle of Trevilian Station Living History

The battle of Trevilian Station was the largest all-cavalry battle of the Civil War that took place on June 11-12 of 1864. Come immerse yourself in local history on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 & 9 with a recreation of the event. Walk through the reenactor's camps and interact with the soldiers and civilians and see what life was like for these people during this grueling time period. The Union officers, Maj. Gen. Philip H. Sheridan and General George A. Custer's will have their camp at the Trevilian House @ 57 Danne Rd. The Confederates, along with the Pallas Athenas, a women's aid society, will be camped at the Netherland Tavern on Oakland Rd. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, you can watch a recreation of a cavalry skirmish at the Trailhead parking lot on Oakland Rd. The event is free to the public.
