This presentation shares the French & Indian War Foundation's new online exhibit where we tell the story of how George Washington came to Winchester, Virginia and how his time in the Shenandoah Valley helped shape him into the ultimate Revolutionary War Patriot.

We explore everything from Washington's career as a young surveyor, to the story of Fort Loudoun in Winchester, to the American Indians of the Shenandoah Valley, and much more!

This project also includes three free, out-of-the-box lesson plans that align with the Virginia Standards of Learning.
