George Washington was known to attend Shakespeare plays and had a few in his personal collection. Shakespeare on the Lawn, at Fielding and Betty Washington Lewis' Kenmore, returns in its 21st year with four performances of As You Like It. We are excited to have Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble returning for another summer and look forward to their reimagined ’80s-themed take on this Shakespeare comedy.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Come early and enjoy your own picnic on the lawn.
