We Built This Place: Watermen Then and Now

About

On Friday night, June 7, 5-7 pm, The Art Center of Montross will have a juried art show with the theme of Watermen: Then and Now. Reception will be open to the public.
On Saturday, June 8, 11 am-1 pm, The Westmoreland County Museum will have an exhibit and accompanying artwork from the Art Center of Montross with the theme of "We Built This Place" Watermen: Then and Now. WCM plans to have former watermen speaking, including the last-known living African American waterman in Westmoreland County, James Douglas, as well as other former watermen. There will be a fish fry and music at the Historic Courthouse.
