Amelia County's annual founders' day festival, this year The Amelia Day Festival will celebrate the 291st Anniversary of Amelia County and the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution. The 2026 festival includes 200+ vendors & exhibitors, 25+ food vendors, all day live entertainment, petting zoo, car show, tractors & farm equipment displays. Fun for all - bring chairs and stay for the full day at no admissions costs. IHO the American Revolution, Revolutionary War, and the Independence of the United States, the band JOKER will perform in free concert on the courthouse stage from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. (presented by Amelia Title & Settlement). The 29th Infantry Division Army Band (VaNG) 12-person ensemble will perform at the nearby Jackson Building from approximately 8:00 - 8:45 P.M. The evening will close with fireworks sponsored by RiverStreet, over the adjacent Hindle Field. Parking will be throughout the village of Amelia, centered around the courthouse square, but outside the fireworks zone.
