Come celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by printing your own at Monticello.
The Declaration of Independence was first printed 250 years ago. Come celebrate this historic anniversary and experience that process firsthand at Monticello. Presented by Arion Press and Monticello with support from Josef Beery, this hands-on letterpress printing activity offers visitors the opportunity to print their own Declaration broadside using a working printing press. Join us at the Mountaintop Activity Center on select summer dates-and take part in the same process that helped carry the Declaration’s ideas into the world.
