5th Annual Journey to Racial Healing Ceremony

5th Annual Journey to Racial Healing Ceremony

About

The 5th annual Journey to Racial Healing Ceremony begins with a luncheon and opportunity to view the Juneteenth Commemorative Art Exhibit on display in the Stryker Center Gallery. Next we present two women -- one Black one White -- who are linked together by slavery and their family ties to former president and author of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson. They will share heartfelt lessons they learned on their Journey to Racial Healing. Following their presentation there will be a robust Question and Answer period.

This annual community event is sponsored by local organizations. This year's confirmed co-sponsors are: Let Freedom Ring Foundation, St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Williamsburg Christian Church. Sentara Cares and Greater Williamsburg Movement are also considering co-sponsorship.
