Mapping Your Story: A Writing Workshop for Military and Veteran's Spouses

Mapping Your Story: A Writing Workshop for Military and Veteran

About

Mapping Your Story: A Writing Workshop

Since the nation's founding, going back to Martha Washington's contributions during the Revolutionary War, military spouses have played a critical role in the nation's security and story.
Join Veteran's Spouse Project for Mapping Your Story, an in-person writing workshop created for military and veteran spouses ready to explore their lived experiences through storytelling.

Using guided prompts built around "person, place, and thing," facilitators will help participants navigate the twists, transitions, and defining moments that shape a military spouse's journey. Together, you'll explore meaningful memories, unexpected turning points, and the small details that make your story uniquely yours.

This interactive workshop offers a supportive space to reflect, write, and connect with others who understand the complexity of military life. Whether you're new to writing or have been carrying stories for years, this experience is designed to help you begin mapping your personal narrative in a thoughtful and encouraging environment.

This workshop is open to military and veteran spouses. Registration is required.

Veteran's Spouse Project (VSP) gives voice to the experiences of military spouses across generations, using storytelling and creative expression to build connection and understanding through shared narratives.
