Bikes Out of Hibernation (BOOH) is an annual event cosponsored by Williamsburg Area Bicyclists, James City County Parks and Rec, Jamestown Settlement, and BikeWalkWilliamsburg. This year, America/Virginia 250 is a theme of BOOH. We will be encouraging attendees to "Bike Into History" in the Historic Triangle. Information on several bikes routes chock full of local history will be available to participants.

The purpose of BOOH is to encourage residents of the community to dust off their bikes and get them ready for the riding season. Representatives of several local bike shops will provide free safety checks and minor adjustments. Free helmets are distributed to those who need them. Afterwards, participants are encouraged to ride on the Virginia Capital Trail, Jamestown Island, or the Colonial Parkway.
