Victorian Voices in 1900: American Faces of the 20th Century

About

In celebration of the nation's 250th anniversary, the Victorian Society at Falls Church (VSFC) in collaboration with the MRSPL presents three distinguished American citizens from the beginning of the 20th century speaking on social and political topics of the era that continue to resonate today:
- Anna Howard Shaw, a physician, minister, suffragist, and associate of Susan B. Anthony, will discuss women's rights.
- Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish-American industrialist who became one of the richest Americans in history, will address the subject of wealth and philanthropy
- Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, will speak about natural resource conservation in a rapidly industrializing America

Join us for a special afternoon at the library as three costumed historical interpreters share the insights, experiences, and perspectives of these three important personalities.
