Celebrate history and summer in true Virginia style at the Orange County Music Fest at Montpelier, a one-of-a-kind live music event honoring the 250th Anniversary of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States of America.

Taking place July 3rd, 2026, this unforgettable Independence weekend celebration brings together incredible country music, great local flavors, and a festival atmosphere on the beautiful grounds of James Madison’s Montpelier.

The night will be headlined by Chris Cagle, delivering a high-energy set packed with fan favorites, joined by supporting acts and special guests The Kentucky Headhunters, bringing their legendary Southern rock-country sound to the stage. The day kicks off with opening performances from James Tamelcoff, setting the tone for an evening of nonstop entertainment. Additional national touring artists may be added to the lineup.
Gates open at 12:00 PM, with music beginning at 4:00 PM.

Festivalgoers can enjoy a wide selection of food, beer, wine, and bourbon, along with local vendors offering unique goods and regional favorites throughout the venue.
