Witness Tree Planting & Seedling Pick-Up

Join us as we celebrate the opening of our newest farm in Fairfax, VA. This commemorative planting marks Area 2 Farms commitment to stewardship, community, and growing for the next 250 years or prosperity, honoring Virginia’s history and the generations of growers who came before us.

As part of Virginia’s VA250 celebration, we will plant a white oak grown from acorns collected from witness trees across the Commonwealth. These witness trees are estimated to be 250+ years old, having stood during the founding of our nation and bearing witness to America's growth and prosperity.

April 25th is also a Seedling Pick-Up Day. Community members who order seedlings can stop by to collect their plants, take a casual tour of the farm, and meet the people who grow their food.

Seedlings can be pre-ordered. Quantities are limited.
