The Beverley Manor Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Staunton, VA in partnership with the Frontier Culture Museum, is celebrating the birth of our nation 250 years ago, with the planting of a black gum tree which is native to Virginia and the leaves turn a beautiful shade of red in the fall. A brass plaque, dedicated by Beverley Manor Chapter, will also be placed at the foot of the tree.
