Since the 18th century, the histories of Falls Church and Oakwood Cemetery have been intertwined. In a one-hour tour of the cemetery, we will encounter poets and soldiers, spies and villains, faith leaders and storekeepers, ornithologists and egg farmers. Locals will recognize some of the family names that grace our streets, parks, and even our public library. To honor Oakwood as a place of remembering, participants will also have an opportunity to lay a flower at a gravesite of their choice.
