Join us as the Craig250 Commission kicks off our commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of our Nation's Independence with A REVOLUTIONARY DAY IN NEW CASTLE! Historical reenactors from the Fincastle Company will display life in the late 18th century on the courthouse lawn. There you might find women spinning wool, militia men polishing their muskets and maybe even a British Red Coat! Learn American history as you engage with them in our custom-made Scavenger Hunt and win colonial-era prizes. Craig County Historical Society is hosting a Vintage Quilt Show in the historic Old Brick Hotel and Store Building. Craig County Farmers Market is celebrating its Spring Opening Day with live music, food and more. Look for artisan crafts, fresh vegetables and baked goods. Younger children are invited to Story Time in the Holstein Cabin. On Main Street from the Farmers Market to the Old Brick Hotel, it's sure to be a fun-filled day for everyone. This event will be held rain or shine.
