George Washington's Birthday Celebration

George Washington

About

Celebrate George Washington’s 293rd birthday at his boyhood home with fun activities for the whole family!

“George Washington” will be on hand to celebrate his birthday. Kids (and adults!) can play colonial games on the lawn. Along the riverfront throughout the day, everyone can try their hand at the annual stone-throwing contest, to reenact George’s fabled stone throw. Cupcakes will also be served, while supplies last.

Guests can explore several educational stations throughout the Ferry Farm property. Engage with Archaeologists, reenactors, and other experts while learning about Ferry Farm, the Washington Family, and the enslaved people who lived there.

Events will be ongoing from 10am – 3pm. Purchase a ticket for arrival time beginning on the top of every hour, while supplies last.

No pets allowed at this event.

Free parking on-site.
