Have you ever wanted to experience life in an 18th-century American Revolution encampment? Join us for another Scotchtown signature 250th event as Patrick Henry’s Hanover Independent Company gathers at Scotchtown before heading to Williamsburg to demand Lord Dunmore, the Royal Governor of the Colony of Virginia, return the gunpowder from the magazine! Experience historic foodways, fashion, music, drills and musket firing as we explore what the Hanover Independent Company looked like at the outbreak of the American Revolution, backing their leader and considering Patrick Henry’s words” Liberty or Death”.
