Farewell Tea with General Lafayette - 1 p.m.

The stately Hill House Museum hosts a festive tea featuring Mark Schneider, nationally acclaimed General Marquis de Lafayette interpreter. He will discuss Lafayette’s Farewell Tour of 1824/1825 highlighting Portsmouth events. Members of the Fort Nelson chapter of the Portsmouth DAR will provide refreshments including traditional tea sandwiches, French pastry desserts, and specialty brew, Five Sisters Tea, a signature blend sold exclusively by the museum.

Museum interpreters will also entertain guests with stories about the Hill family's ancestors and their connections to General Lafayette.

Ticket prices are $35 for museum members / $45 for non-members and must be purchased in advance.
