Join us on July 18 – exactly 250 years after British colonists in Virginia wrote radical and influential words that forged the path to revolution. The evening includes history booths, a marker dedication, the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps performance, and remarks by reenactors portraying George Washington and George Mason. Keynote remarks will be given by Carly Fiorina, Virginia's National Honorary Chairperson of the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission. History Booths will be open at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. Partner organizations include VA250, Office of Historic Alexandria, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, George Mason’s Gunston Hall, Carlyle House Historic Site, and the Fairfax Resolves Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution.
