The Mathews VA250 Committee will officially announce its presence to the community at the county’s spring festival, “May Faire: A Rural Life”, Saturday, May 4.

*Mathews High School freshman, Hunter Owens, a member of the Mathews County VA250 Committee, will release his new album of patriotic music. Owens will also perform on stage that morning and will be donating a portion of his proceeds to the Committee’s ongoing efforts.

*Additionally, the VA250 Committee will host an information booth with pamphlets, T-shirts, VA250 collectibles, and other items.

*The VA250 Committee is also sponsor of the Colonial Williamsburg Fife & Drum Corps which will appear at closing ceremonies. The public is invited to join up at the Fire House at 3:00 and proceed to the stage for 3:30 ceremonies. All are welcome and there is no charge for any of the day’s activities.
