About

Help Gunston Hall commemorate the 248th anniversary of the Virginia Declaration of Rights. Join us all day for a variety of activities and opportunities including a special naturalization ceremony, museum theater performances, live music, and birthday cake for the Declaration. Check out the schedule to help you decide whether to stay all day or drop in for a portion of the festivities.

10 a.m. - Museum Theater – George Mason and his Legacy
11 a.m. - Special Naturalization Ceremony
Noon - Tours of the Mansion
12:30 p.m. - Wreath laying ceremony at Ann and George Mason’s graves
1 p.m. - Live Music
1:30 p.m. - Museum Theater – George Mason and his Legacy
2:30 p.m. - Birthday Cake for the Virginia Declaration of Rights
2:45 p.m. - Tours of the Mansion
3 p.m. - Performance – Clementina Rind: A Lady of Singular Merit
3:30 p.m. - Tours of the Mansion
4 p.m. - Museum Theater – George Mason and his Legacy

Spaces for the Mansion Tours and Museum Theater performances are limited. Timed tickets will be available on the day of the event.

This special program will occur rain or shine. In the event of significant rainfall or thunderstorms, all activities will move to indoor locations.
