A SAR National Event will be held commemorating the 1781 Crossing of the Dan, including a program entitled “January - March 1781: Race to the Dan and the Most Crucial Months in American History” presented by Historian William Guerrant (author of Let a Pillar Arise). VASSAR events are planned at Boyd’s Ferry after this opening program.
