Commemorate Presidents' Day by welcoming new citizens to the U.S. and enjoying cake, music, and other special activities.

Schedule of Events:

11:00am - 12:00pm - Naturalization Ceremony will be officiated by Judge David J. Novak and is held in partnership with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Celebrate America's newest citizens with Ukrop's cake and lemonade in Commonwealth Hall and music from the Richmond Brass Consort

12:00pm - 4:00pm - Special Activities:

- Explore the museum galleries with a special presidential-themed scavenger hunt and earn a pocket-sized copy of the United States Constitution upon completion (while supplies last)
- Test your civics knowledge with questions from the U.S. Naturalization Test - then be entered to win a one-year family membership to the VMHC
- View a rare collection of presidential-related archival treasures in the E. Clairborne Robins, Jr. Research Library (on display one day only)

Admission Notes:

The Ceremony and Reception are free and open to the public. Seating in the Robins Family Forum is first come. The ceremony will also be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.

Tickets for Daily Museum Admission which provides access to the Library and Galleries can be purchased in person or online.

The Naturalization ceremony is open to the public, but all attendees must be screened for prohibited items prior to entering the Robins Family Forum. All attendees must have photo identification (driver’s license/ID card) to enter the courtroom/event space and will be screened for prohibited items.
