"Common Sense: The Virginia Declaration of Rights" Lecture

About

When Thomas Paine wrote "Common Sense," he started a revolution -- literally! Find out how the pamphlet impacted the colonies and ultimately led to Virginia adopting her own Declaration of Rights.

Virginia's Declaration of Rights, mostly written by George Mason and adopted unanimously on June 12, 1776 by the Virginia Convention, served as the basis for the nation's Declaration of Independence.

This lecture is free and open to the public. It is part of the VA250 Celebrations.
